Why?

Why do people use social networking sites to complain about other people? Every other post is "God i wish she knew she was a....." You get the point. There are posts that say "10 likes and ill tell you who i hate and why." Really? You want to let off steam, yell at your pillow.

Help a Man Out

So, I'm trying to persuade my mom to get me an Xbox 360 for Christmas. She keeps doubting if its what I "REALLY" want, but truthfully it is. I only asked for 5 things this Christmas. Is one big gift and a few small gifts too much to ask? Either way, if anybody has an idea to help me persuade my mom, tell me.

Well, as bad as it is...who else got in a food coma, still went store-raiding on Black Friday, and managed to finish their Christmas shopping?

Well, on a SouthWest flight, a man had a coupon for a free drink, and it wasn't expired. However, the flight attendants wouldn't take it. So, what does the man do. He SUES them, over ONE coupon! One drink!

Laptop.

So I'm looking for a laptop, and I have a limited budget. I'm debating between a macbook or windows 7. The reason I'm getting a laptop, is for video editing. I know macbooks are top-notch for that, but their very expensive. Any ideas?

Did I sleep through Thanksgiving?

WOW. It seems like a week ago I was watching Halloween commercials. Now all I see are commercials involving snow, toys, and christmas. On the lite fm (93.9 I believe), their already playing Christmas music. And its November 13th? WOW. In all honesty, I don't really mind, but how early is TOO early?

So I was down in Indy for my sister's soccer tourney, and on the way my family stopped at a grocery store.

Inside the store, this one item caught my eye.

It was an edible "sticker" of an NFL helmet that someone would put on a pizza.

The thing was, there were no Colts merchandise.

Well, they say your never too old to trick-or-treat, but it was either i gave away candy, or i got some while taking my sister around the block. I think its safe to say i wore a paper bag over my head as a costume.....

Descriptive Narrative

(Gotta do this for Journalism class)

I didn't see it coming. It meant that I had finally gotten noticed after all these years. All of the videos and all of the hours had finally payed off, quite literally.
As I listened to "Lose Yourself" by Eminem and chatted on FaceBook, I got the urge to check my email.
I used to never check my email.
However, out of the blue, I did this time.
As the smell of my mom's freshly bake cookies spread through the room, I saw some emails from FaceBook, some from Poynter's NewsU (which I get for Journalism updates and such), and even a few from YouTube telling me so and so had subscribed to me.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
Then I saw the email. The real deal. The big Khahuna (or whatever its spelled like).
I clicked on the email and read the following: "Your YouTube account 'theJohnnyBoyVidoes' may be accepted into the Youtube Partnership Program at this time. Click here to apply."
I fell out of my chair.
I was going to be payed by Youtube!
How does it work?
Youtube pays me to post advertisements next to my videos.
Now you have to realize, people live off of this program. People make big money off of this program.
I did the math, and these famous YouTubers named "smosh" make approximately a million a month. A month!
If you ask anyone, I definitely wasn't singing along to Eminem's song about not giving up. Not at all.....

So I'm kinda just sitting here at this computer, writing on my blog for class. Interesting how for journalism classes at LC we just sit here and make our blogs look "spiffy" and what-not.
