Wow, last blog. I'm going to miss it. I remember months ago, when I thought you were so cool.
We had good times, writing, and posting, and... well that's really all we did.
But now summer is here, and I think its time we said goodbye.
Goodbye!

Why is Reffing so Interesting?
Well, as a soccer ref I can tell you. Wierd hings happen sometimes when you officiate soccer games.
For example, last night this dog randomly runs onto the field. He didn't appear to have an owner. Ok? So, what the heck do I do with this dog?
Well, he was friendly enough, so I walked him off the field. Later in the game, some drunk guy yells from across the park, rides a bike over, and finds his dog.
This dude was wearing a full out cape. No joke.
Maybe that's why he got arrested....

Finals
Well, the moment we've all been waiting for. Finals are finally here. Everything we've learned over the course of a year is ready to be tested, and our hands are about to ache from writing so much.
One thing about finals, though, is that the questions are sometimes really dumb.
"Jerry has 3 apples. He gives two away. Calculate the mass of the sun."

3 weeks.
Only 3 weeks left in the school year. Only three weeks to go. Only three weeks of hard work left. Only 3 weeks of studying. Only 3 weeks of cramming. Only 3 weeks of staying up too late. Only 3 weeks of waking up too early.
Good thing we're almost done, right?

A little math for you.
You may want to get out a calculator for this....
1) Pick a number, any number. (No don't tell me!)
2) multiply it by 2
3) add 4 onto the number
4) divide by 2
5) subract your original number from the number you have now (step 4 number - step 1 number)
Did you get 2?
If not, your calculator is awful.

Braces
Well, tomorrow I will discover the fate of the railroad tracks on my teeth. Whether 8 weeks more, or getting them off, I'm actually glad I had them. My teeth will be los perfectos. Its going to feel wierd without braces for a bit, I believe. I've spent a long time with them, although I'm not sad to say goodbye!

Mini-YBK Projects
For Intro class, we are doing "Mini Yearbook" projects. Doing so, we need to come up with a theme. I've come up with the theme of: "All in". So, clubs/sports: All interest, academics: All intellect, and students/staff: All individual. Sounds good right?
Hunger Games
Past weekend I went to go see the movie, the Hunger Games, as I was a fan of the books. The movie is quite like the book in almost every way possible, and really captured what the story is all about. I may not be a movie critic, but I hands down give two thumbs up to the makers. Id give it 5 out of 5 stars.

Down and Out
Well, the 'Hawks postseason was cut short Monday night with a 4-0 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes. Even though they out shot the 'Yotes 37-20, they weren't able to capitalize on their many opportunities. Next year, I hope, they can be more solid defensively and more aggresive offensively.

Report Cards
Not sure how I did it, but i managed to pull four grades up to A's for my report card! Chem honors, hardest class I've ever had, now I've got a 93% in it. GPA? Went way up. 4.237. Boo yah.
Indy Tourney
Get to go down to Indianapolis this weekend for a soccer tournament for my team, Millenium Vardar. We had a game today, Friday, but my parents wouldnt let me skip school for soccer. I think its sending the wrong message for students to have them skip school for sports.
Stanley Cup Playoffs
For the 4th consecutive year, the Blackhawks have made the playoffs! They face off against the Phoenix Coyotes in Game 2 tomorrow night, after the OT loss on Thursday night in Phoenix.

Upside down house....
Just read on yahoo that a house in Malaysia (of all places) is the location of a...unique house, so to speak. The designer of the house decided to make the outside to appear upside down. The roof seems to be the bottom and the bottom seems to be the roof! But down worry though, the showers don't shoot up and the interior of the house is correct.
"March Madness?"
No. This has nothing to do with college hoops. I'm talking about this weather! It has been around 70 degrees for the past week! What happened to that awful snow storm we were supposed to get this year?

Kony 2012
Many of you reading this don't care. Many of you would rather complain of a bad hair day, or maybe your parents didn't let you go out a night, or the fact that a boy or girl doesn't like you than finish reading this blog. Truth is, there are people so much worse off than you. Take some time and actually watch this. If you care, you CAN make a difference. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc&feature=g-logo&context=G2579bfcFOAAAAAAABAA

Best English Class (So Far...)
In English Merit class today, instead of learning, we moved the desks, sat on the floor, watched a movie, and ate popcorn. It's been a pretty good day so far.
Whats Your Reasoning?
Why do SO many people dislike February? First of all my birthday and Valentines day are in February. I feel its stereotyped as the cold, rainy month that nobody likes.

Birthday Blunder
Well, tomorrow I'll turn 16, but it feels like my birthday is today. Not figuratively, but actually. Maybe its because my girlfriend brought me cupcakes today and said "Happy Birthday!"?
Top 3 Pics
Pic 1: An incredible view of the ceiling window in Lake Central High School is available because I laid flat on my back and looked up. Interestingly enough, Lake Central has many of these "hidden" patterns on the cielings.
Pic 2: A soft, wintery scene can be seen through the window in my basement. The scene seems to contradict itself with snow on the ground, yet springy, floral designed curtains hanging by the window sill.
Pic 3: Jillian Hearne, right, and John Hearne (my dad), left, sprint to the end of the local 5k run. Jillian, age 6, achieved first place in her age group, and John, age 46, earned the respect of many due to his Batman costume.

Photography?
I feel like an idiot for not knowing what a viewfinder was while being in journalism class....
Colleges
So I've been getting a heck of a lot of snail mail lately from colleges that I havent even heard of. It's a good thing, but honestly all of the letters are the same.

Congrats Uncle!
So in the Post Tribune, my Uncle Jim, a past priest, had an article made for him. Titled "Losing His Occupation, Not Faith" it talks about how he fell in love with a lady he met at his church! Since he couldnt legally marry someone while apart of the priesthood, he made the decision to chase his love and it hasnt been better for him since!
Scam Alert.
Some guy called me saying that out of the entire STATE of INDIANAPOLIS, I had won a free subsripction to some magazine. Its safe to say I hung up then.
